Bad start to the day. We were out of coffee cream at home so I caved and got Tim Hortons coffee (a weakness of mine), which is way higher in fat and calories than the coffee I make.
Problem: I have a tendency to go for the quick, pre-packaged/take-out fix when we're out of what we need at home. Must get past this!!
At least I didn't get the bagel with butter too.

if you do cave for the tim's bagels,
ReplyDeleteeverything w/light cream cheese 380cal
plain w/light 360cal
Stay away from the muffins thinking you're doing better than having a bagel with cheese. Wheat and Carrot muffin has 400cal, you're actually better off eating the donuts!
That is c.r.a.z.y.
ReplyDeleteI usually do the cinnamon raisin bagel toasted with butter. They really slather on the butter though (great taste! really fat!).
I used to do the everything bagel with light cream cheese, maybe I'll go back to it on treat days. Good compromise??
Yeah the horrible things you learn while working there. I spent a lot of time pouring over the nutritional guide during orders and was shocked at some of it.
ReplyDeleteReally want a treat? Get one plain donut. Most people think they're doing better by eating a handful of the timbits, when they're really eating almost 2 donuts by the time they're done!
1 Old Fashion Plain Donut = 260cal
6 Old Fashion Plain Timbits = 420cal
If you're set on butter with your bagel however, you can always get the butter on the side and do it yourself. They have they little buttercups.
